WCP Cup Final

Ireland vs. Laos: 3-0 Ireland. A dominant performance all-around. It doesn't really need to be gone into detail. And with the cabaret last night, this thing is all wrapped up. Good show everybody! I'll get some details on next year for you.

Just a suggestion, hopefully someone sees this and does something about it. The prices were crazy this year. I personally was a player in the tournement, but as for people coming to cheer on someone they know or their heritage, it became very pricey. $7.00 a day.. That is quite a bit of money and adds up fast, where then people buy an $85.00 pass, which is still very expensive. Also the finals day, you have less games, but you pay more. That doesn't make sense. Yes they are better games, but there are less of them so it should even out. Something needs to change next year, they are trying to get fans, but a number of people I personally have talked to, said that if the price was the same next year, they simply won't go. What I see is the prices being about $3.00 per day, or a tournement pass for $30.00 or something. This price thing needs to change ASAP or fans are not going to come to the games.

Also, there was a lady taking pictures of the games, where can I access these pictures?

you have a good point....but the problem here is the RSA that is charging the WCP organizers an arm and a leg to rent the crapy facility! over 20,000 $ I heard they charged this year! and for the back where the teams can warm up they wanted another over 20,000$....so as you can see is the RSA that is killing this sport!!! so what we need to target is the RSA!!

I hate the RSA and the people who run it. They are supposed to keep fees down and promise people who enjoy the game of soccer that they will but it goes up like a ton each year. What's the point.

Playing hockey will soon be cheaper the way the RSA is going.

Love soccer, but it's getting quite costly. Too bad we couldn't have a set up like Moose Jaw where they own their facility and you don't have to pay these stupid darn rental costs. They also rent it to the public in Moose Jaw for dirt cheap.

You can also pay an admission fee like you would at our Field House and you can play or what not as long as there isn't a booking on the soccer field. What a great deal. I would go play in Moose Jaw if they had competitive leagues.

$20,000 seems like a lot of money, but does anyone know what Evraz Place charges the RSA to rent the building? I guarantee that it's more than the $40,000 that the RSA would charge WCP for the month to rent out the whole place. They have to rent out the back separately to try and make back some of that rent... Where do you think the additional money would come from if they ate the costs in order to save WCP some money??? Your fees...

Think a bit people...

If people have problems with the prices, then let them not come. If they were so against it, they would not have come this year. If I had to guess most of ticket comments are from Braden Husdal as I heard that he has an issue with every price set out. He even had a issue with paying the admission for the draw which was going to a charity. If this is you Braden, get lost, don't play don't ref where you make money off the tournament just shut up and get lost.

First off, I would like to say whoever made the comments about the ticket prices has a valid point. Second off, Braden can voice his concern and opinion so if you don't like it then maybe you should shut and get lost yourself. He has a valid point. I don't agree with Braden often, but the ticket prices are ridiculous. To be garanteed 4 games for you pay is not worth it. Your probably some rich kid that has money to toss around. Think of the people that can't watch the tournament because of the prices. The tournament pass prices are a joke. I would rather sign up my parents on a team than have them pay those prices. That way they can get into the final as well. Also, there are alot of poor families who play soccer and can't afford to come watch every time their kids play. Maybe you need to use your head Anon May 2, 2011 1:41 PM. Think about others and not yourself.

Can someone tell me how we can play a whole season of indoor for just over $250.00 per player and for this WCP CUP tournament each player pays over $100.00 depending on the team. Your point about the rental costs make no sense if you look at my point. Also to get a pass to watch for the indoor season it's $20.00. Not $85.00 like WCP charges. If you ask me, people have to valid points at all. I agree with the people who are concerned with the prices. Something is a bit sketchy here. You can easily LOWER the prices. THINK ABOUT IT. You can make it more than affordable. Look at regular RSA pricing during a long indoor season. WOW. Makes me wonder and also makes me want to shake my head at all the stupid people thinking the prices can't be lowered.

Don't play! Shut up and don't play it is as easy as that. If you are too poor, get a better job and education.

- Very good point, which means the WCP CUP can be cheaper. Whoever thinks it can't be, is an idiot. Those idiots should shut up.

-About the get a better job and education post. People come to Canada from other countries and can't get jobs who are Doctors and Engineers back in their home countries. You are just a neive moron and I bet you have no education yourself if your going to make comments like that. Douche you should leave your name. Stop hiding behind your anonymous posts if your going to talk smack.

You mean just like you did? You call him a moron and an idiot and don't leave you name. I bet you are just upset because you have a shitty job, but most likely because you are just too lazy to get a better education, or go out and find something that pays more. There are a lot of people that come from other countries, and a lot of those people get educations and good careers instead of free loading. This a a land of opportunity, and everyone has the ability to do whatever they want. Those who do not speak the language can take courses, or get tutors for next to nothing, even free depending on who offers it. Then they can go to Siast and get an education that can put them into a position that can help them find a career in Canada. If you are telling me that because you are an immigrant and that is why you can't get a job, you don't deserve to live in Canada with the rest of our hard working, educated immigrants that bust their ass everyday to try and make something of themselves.

To all the MORONS who think WCP tournament can be less than 20,000.00 - the cost is 50,000.00 plus. Try and set up a tournament of this magnitude and then chirp!!
WCP Cup is not a joke, however, some of you bloggers are!!!
